  1. Hmmm this is interesting. I’m not entirely sure what death culture means. But when I saw this photo, it reminded me of the lack of respect for human life that seems to be prevalent in modern American culture. Showing a Pidgey, the most common of all the Pokemon in Pokemon Go, next to a dead body seems to be saying that death is as commonplace as Pidgeys. Or maybe it’s saying that people shoot each other as frequently as they shoot pokeballs at Pidgeys. I could also see how this image is drawing attention to the danger of playing Pokemon Go, as many people have gotten injured and even killed because they were staring at their phone playing Pokemon and not paying attention to their surroundings. Either way, it is a powerful image.
